What Is A D-a-B Evening?
An informal, fun evening with friends and the opportunity to create your own eclectic, one-off ‘Designer’ handbag (but the ‘Designer’ is you!).

Do I have to be great at sewing?
No- you just need imagination and an urge to make something unique. If you can sew a button on then a BagLady D-a-B Evening is for you!

How Does It Work?
Call or Email Louise to book a date. Louise will send you Design-a-Bag invitations for you to fill in the details (where, when, etc.) and give to friends.

On the day she will arrive with the following:

• Beautiful blank handbags designed by Louise for you to choose from. Available in a choice of several fabrics -silk, hemp, velvet, taffeta. Prices start at £15.
• Outline drawings of each style of handbag for you to plan your own design.
• A selection of trimmings for sale ( buttons, beads )
• Inspirational images / ideas.

Guests arrive with the following:

• Sewing kit - scissors, cotton thread, embroidery silk, needles and…… a SMALL 4” embroidery ring would be useful.
• Interesting fabrics/off cuts and any personal items- old necklaces, granny’s buttons, a wedding corsage?
• IMAGINATION!!!!

When settled and ready to begin, Louise will spend one hour assisting with the paper design and inspiring any would-be handbag designers! Your evening will continue as long as the creative impulse and wine flows. If the handbag isn’t finished by the end of the evening you can always get together again.. and again ………

What Do I Get Out Of It?
A beautiful, personal Designer handbag that will be a complete one-off (make it for a special occasion or a fantastic gift for a special friend) and an enjoyable evening!
